I'm a 35 year old guy, father of two, who enjoys life. I'm a huge football fan and sports fan in general, enjoy the outdoors, love traveling and exploring new IPAs. You'll find me with a smile and having a laugh most of the time.

Best moments spent with friends. I'm pretty easy going, like meeting people from different parts of the world and hear crazy stories from their day to day life.

After working a few years as an engineer I decided to try working doing something I knew I'd enjoy, sports journalism. Since February 2014 I've been the news editor of Visir.is and having a blast. It's funny to look back at my profile a few years ago:

Highlights of my life include being rescued from drowning in the river Nile, spending two months on the road in the US and performing "Your Song" at my going away party at my local piano bar in Seattle. Nostalgia...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed many couches during my 2 month road trip in the States in 2008 and elsewhere since. Each and every time was enjoyable. I've had plenty of surfers staying with me in Iceland since although a lot less after becoming a father. But when the kids are away I sometimes open up the couch.

I really enjoy traveling and meeting people from different places. I've had a great time backpacking through Europe, traveling in Egypt and Kenya, driving around the States, snowboarding in Italy and Spain and hiking in my own "back yard" in Iceland.

I'm a fanatic football (soccer) fan and actually a huge sports fan in general. I've played as long as I can remember and follow it every day. I also play tennis and was a tennis coach for 7 consecutive summers, teaching small kids the basics. A lot of fun.

My family is really musical. Both parents play in the Icelandic symphony and my sister will join them shortly. I'm the black sheep in the family who prefers to play rock and pop music on the piano. I'm still a fan of classical music and played classical piano for 13 years.
