Hi all I’m Tuna (No I am not named after the fish. It means the river Danube in my language) . I live in London and work in Music marketing (tours and album stuff) and also work online doing E-Commerce. I like conversations about economics, politics, and psychology, and mainly about anything that piques my interest :). I love to go out for a drink or just stay in and cook while listening to music. I am looking for new experiences and making new friends all around the world. I am an open-minded person (I know you see this in every couchsurfing profile, I believe there might be something that I might be narrow-sighted) and I would like to talk about anything and everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Really cliché but to try new experiences, to meet new people and to make friends all around the world. Many of my travels are just spontaneous. I do travel to new cities almost every weekend (or biweekly) and I love meeting with new people and interacting with strangers.

Plus I really believe that travelling or holidays shouldn't be 5 star hotels and fancy meals. I think it is all about interaction with other people, cultures and having a story to tell. This has been the foundation stone of civilisation and as we live in the era of technology and digital evolution, we are losing the sense of connection with strangers.

I am a big believer that a person reaches a content, beautiful soul by how many experiences they had which exited them / worth remembering or making them feel good about themselves. I am on a mission to reach that sense of content by travelling and getting to experience new cultures, places and people. Also I am trying to make peoples life better in my own means.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read almost everything. My favourite genre are Psychology, History and Political books. I don't consider myself very cultured on cinematography but I do know a good movie or two. And lastly I listen to almost every type of music, from classical to hard techno given the background of playing the piano for 7 years. If I had to choose a favourite, it would be Garage, Electric Jazz music for now. Working in Music industry also widened my appreciation and knowledge on music :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started multiple business at a very young age, failed some, became financially independent at the age of 16 and have been financially taking care of my parents since I was 18.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Turkish and also some recipes that I like to cook.
I am always down to learn a new language, even just basic stuff. I can't stress enough how important it is to be able to speak 2 or more languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking and have always been told that I cook well (don't like to brag) If you are not vegetarian/vegan I can cook you some delicious steak or a seafood linguine. I have some good recipes for vegans/vegetarians as well :)

Besides the cooking, I can be a great listener and I am a fun/adventurous guy to go out for some drinks, dancing or both!
