CURRENT MISSION
To visit every single place on earth!
ABOUT ME
I live in Ankara for my master's study in Building Science, in Middle East Technical University. I love to travel, I mean I LOVE IT A LOT (though I haven't traveled most of the world, yet). Just give me a backpack and I will go on the road. I love meeting people, even just on the street, talking to them for 2 minutes, hearing their stories. I find myself hilarious but my friends think the opposite way. I've been playing the drums for 7 years now and the guitar for 5 years. I have a band called Monomorphic State and we make post-rock music, I play the drums there but I also write most of our songs and sometimes sing too. I'm also interested in photography. I take pictures of nice buildings, and also nature, I love to shoot close ups of various birds and insects. I also draw some doodles from time to time. Oh, and I love yellow t-shirts.
PHILOSOPHY
1)Just live. And SMILE. LIVE HAPPILY. Because every single second of your life is precious.
2)Be natural. You will want the people around you to like you as who you are. If they don't like you then it's ok, it's their loss.
3)Try to trust your heart instead of your brain(well, most of the time).
4)Life without music is pointless.
5)True music comes from deep within, and usually from pain and suffering.
6)A suit does not define a man, neither do tattoos or piercings. Their taste in music does, though.
7)Note to self: try not to talk about music too much.
8)Music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet new people. Simple as that. Even though I haven't hosted a lot of people so far that doesn't mean I haven't known so many people. I have talked with people on the streets, people looking for directions, people I'm on the bus with etc. I try to talk to as many people as possible, and CS is the best way to do that in my opinion.
Interests
I mostly spend my time outside, when im at home i usually play my guitar, listen to some music or spend some time online.
I love having long conversations about almost everything, well, not football I guess. I think having a beer(or wine)(or whiskey) while sitting on the grass with your friends until the sun goes down, or up, is the best thing one can do to relax. I prefer this a thousand times than sitting in a bar. This doesn't mean I hate bars though. I just love being in the nature more than being in the concrete city.

I also listen to other music, any type of music to be honest, as long as its good. But I mainly like rock, metal, post-rock and jazz. Anything with nice guitar playing and killer drumming, really.
I can't decide on my favourite movies, though. I've watched a lot of movies but at least I can say my favourite movie is Les Choristes.
Sadly, I'm not much of a book person. I read books, but only if I'm on holiday. In my other free times I prefer music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My name comes from the Danube river (Tuna means Danube in Turkish) so I think one of the best moments of my life was when I saw the river itself, in Budapest, walking on the actual spot -the chain bridge- where I was named by my parents during their tour of Europe, when they were in Budapest, on that bridge.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the basics of playing the guitar! I can talk about architecture as long as you want, but to some people it kinda gets boring after a while... I can teach you Turkish!
