About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find a unicorn.
ABOUT ME
I like riding bikes, and I have a serious case of wanderlust. So, I travel by bicycle.
In 2011/2012 my mission is to ride from London to New York, the long way. I've had setbacks, I've kept my plans flexible, and I'm still steadily steaming down the road enjoying every day.
My passport describe me as a twenty-two year-old Australian. If there was a space in my passport like this little box, it would probably say I'm "optimistic and easy-going".
PHILOSOPHY
"Whether you think you can or you can't, you're probably right."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm looking for a place to crash for the night. Hopefully someone to share a good meal or drink with too!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My favourite (and so far, only) CouchSurfing/WarmShowers experiences have been so much more than a bed. In London my hosts shared an iconic curry. In Switzerland my hosts took me on a tour of their little city, ending with a brew on the plaza. In Turkey one host introduced me to narghyle parlours, and another shared his family's Ramadan traditions. In Iran my hosts accepted this stray vagabonder as a family member!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I love good live music. Otherwise I usually play alternative hip-hop, blues, soul, some of the better country stuff.
Movies - honestly, dramas bore me to tears. I like to be entertained by whatever it is that's showing.
Books - the usual suspects; Bryson, Thubron, Cahill. Tim Cope. Malcolm Gladwell. Robert Pirsig.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow, what a big question!
Maybe not the most amazing, but the first thing that comes into my mind is seeing wild animals on the road. My favourite was almost running over a golden jackal in daylight in Bulgaria.
