About Me
CAUTION: I'm not as active online as most people in this day of time, so chances are that I miss your request if you contact me to close upon arrival. But it's of course always worth a try even at short notice.
I'm a vegetarian and love to learn new things and meet new people. I'm a christian but don't feel comfortable in church, I work a lot but don't get much paid, but I enjoy my job(s).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's a great way to get to know new people, and a good alternative to hostels. It's nicer to visit somewhere when you have a local host that can show you around or give good advice of places worth visiting.

I hardly ever watch movies these days but some I like are: Lord of War, To end all Wars, Dancer in the Dark, Dumb & Dumber, Coffee and Cigarettes, Down by Law, Armadillo, Life is Beautiful
Authours: Sara Lidman, Torgny Lindgren, CS Lewis, Rob Bell, Shane Claiborn, Tony Campolo, Marie Fredriksson, Karin Boye, Knut Hamsun, Harry Martinsson
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've met Bill Murray.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a pretty good juggler, I can teach you! I do a lot of woodcraft. And if you play any instrument I'd love to get a jam session going.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a livingroom with a sofa big enough to sleep in (I've slept in it plenty of times and I'm 6"2), we also have lots of floorspace. But that's for whenever my spare bedroom isn't rented out, if it's free you can get your own room! :)
I live in a little village about three kilometers from Nordmaling which is the closest train station, from there it takes about 25 min by train to Umeå which is the biggest city in northern Sweden with an airport, university, Espresso House, cars and other metropolitan stuff.
My village, "Olofsfors" was built around the ironworks in the 17th century, but is mainly a museum these days and a nice place to visit during the summer. It's a creative environment with a bunch of artists living here amongst "ordinary" people as well. There's a café just across the street from here, and I also have a restaurant/hotel not far away. And there are some nice running trials and good hiking paths not too far away.
