ABOUT ME

Greetings.

My name is SalvatoreMarco Romania, I'm 29 years old, I was born and still living in Padova.

I've always had a big passion for music - I can play bass and counterbass - and this passion always went in good resonance with my other one, for traveling. In fact I'm a curious and passionate person who’s fascinated by the idea of meeting people, discover places, traditions and cultures.
After the suffered degree, I had the lifetime opportunity: a travel through Spain and Portugal. Thanks to Rogerio Celestino, a Portuguese guy, singer and guitarist of my music band, we had the opportunity to play in a couple of concerts in Portugal (one of them was in the popular Boom Festival). It was a fantastic occasion, so I decided to raise the stakes by planning to reach Portugal not by airplane, neither by train, but by motorbike!!! I obtained the driving license just few days before and I didn't have any driving experience. I took my father's motorbike (a wonderful 1982 Honda CB 400N), enlisted my great friend Alberto "PIL" Pileri and as soon as possible we prepared the bags: clothes, food and without hesitations we started what soon
I can't tell you the beauty and the purity of the places we crossed, first because they have been so many, and all of them had their own peculiarity, and second because any description couldn't make justice to them. It should be enough to tell you that this travel definitely changed my life, generating in me an implacable lust for adventure. In this direction my project moves!

I want to reach Australia, passing through Southeast Asia, riding my motorbike (a Yamaha Tenerè), and enjoying every single km of my trip, without time limits.

Hopefully with as much COUCHSURFING experiences as possible!

PHILOSOPHY
