About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am looking for the Truth. It'll take me a couple of lifetimes.

ABOUT ME

I'm a gentle kind of person who loves reading books and occasionally sharing my heart with a few very close friends. I am a rather reclusive ivory-tower academic kind of person, very fond of theology, philosophy, and poetry, and linguistics (especially etymology). G.K. Chesterton is one of my favourite authors; he combines all those things beautifully.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a Catholic Christian. I believe that the goal of man is to enjoy eternal beatitude with God.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have finished my studies and no longer have a couch available. I will update my profile once I can host people again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed the couch of Saint Clair twice, when going to and coming from Okanogan, Washington. It was fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Bible (especially the letter to the Ephesians), anything by J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis (movies and books), anything by G.K. Chesterton. I'm being introduced to Aristotle and Plato and enjoying the experience. As for music, I like many movie soundtracks, as well as Tchaikovsky and Dvorak, a number of hymns, as well as mellower melodies. Actually my taste in both books and music is a lot wider, but this is all I can come up with right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on exchange to the University of Nebraska at Kearney. It inspires deep gratitude in me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Catholic theology, differences between Catholicism and Protestantism, differences between the modern age and the pre-modern age, why Chesterton is brilliant, and a number of other things you pick up along the way.
