About Me
ABOUT ME IN A NUTSHELL
I'm a happy, open-minded, adventure-seeking young student, always ready to undertake something new and unprecedented. I'm always eager to and will never be tired of meeting new cultures and new people from all over the globe, sharing my experiences and enthusiasm with them in return for an enriching chat about their own interests, devotions, ideas and habits.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CARPE DIEM - AND MY REASON FOR COUCHSURF
My main goal - apart from founding a merry family with at least three children in the far future and establishing my own firm in the even further future - is to get to know of the world that surrounds us, both by travelling and by observing the amazing phenomena that occur - even if we don't take notice of them - around us. Couchsurfing is just the perfect opportunity to discover the world with all of its hidden secrets, make new friends and get insight into unknown cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS I READ
I really am a Tolkien fan, I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy many times, even in original. The Silmarillion, The Children of Hurin, Unfinished tales, The adventures of Tom Bombadil - I love them all.
Given my interest in sciences, the books of Asimov and the Foundation series are really close to my heart, not to mention the Harry Potters. What's more, I read all Agatha Christies, I could find - my favourite is The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, but anyone who can show me a new one would be highly appreciated.
Recently, besides reading books of Roger Penrose and Richard Feynman and waiting for the continuation of The Song of Ice and Fire, I took up reading world literature, eg.: 1984, War and Peace, The Count of Monte Cristo and also Sorstalanság.
MUSIC I LISTEN
First of all, jazz and blues are among my favourites - mainly that's why I play them on the guitar as well.
But apart from that, it depends on my actual mood, l prefer the Italian "cantautore's" like Lucio Dalla (Caro Amico ti scrivo, my favourite), Adrio Celentano (Il Ragazzo della via Gluck, Azzurro) or Fabrizio d'André. I do regularly listen german music as well, SDP, Die Arzte or Die Toten Hosen - some of their songs are really good. Bob Dylan (Blowing in the wind, Mr. Tambourine Man), Dawid Bowie (Stairman) and Sting (Englishman in New York) along wih Fools Garden (Lemon Tree) are among my favourites as well.
Conserning Hungarian artists and bands, I like the Illés band, songs of János Bródy and Levente Szörényi, but also the band called Kispál és a borz.
Now and then I listen to classical music as well, I consider Mozart's "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" and Beethoven's "Ode an die Freude" true masterpieces.
MOVIES I WATCH
I spend less time wathching movies than reading books or listening to music, but I prefer the film d'arte's, recently I watched "Perfetti sconosciuti", a really good one. But I love the pieces of Gabrielle Salvatores (Marrakech Express - my favourite ever) and the sci-fis, like Gravity, Interstellar and Star Wars (the real trilogy and the recent ones) too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
TRAVELLED GRATIS WITH OLYMPIADS
I represented Hungary on several scientific Olympiads - once in India, then in Klagenfurt (Austria), Moscow (Russia) and recently in Tbilisi (Georgia) and this spring in Astana (Kazakhstan). In July, I'm going to Nakhom Pathom (Thailand). Unforgettable memories, everlasting friendships and valuable experiences I acquired there - apart from medals.
Teach, Learn, Share
OPENNES, LANGUAGES, GUITAR, CUISINE
My philosophy - always open your eyes and find the positive side of everything. Hope I can meet people who think the same way - and even people who can argue against it.
I love the languages - currently I speak fluently Hungarian, German, English and Italian and learn Russian, but I'd like to learn Arabic and Chinese as well. I would even gladly teach these languages to my visitors. Moreover I find the different dialects of German and English amazing, only listening to them makes me happy.
I play guitar in my spare time - mainly classical though, but I like playing and singing along the songs. It's a very pleasant pastime, if I have time, I can share it with my visitors as well.
Besides I also like to cook - Hungarian dishes like gulyás, paprikás csirke, lecsó, pörkölt are among my favourites.
As soon I get my college room, I'll make it available for anybody. I can guide you and show you around both in Budapest and Cambridge, with great enthusiasm.
What I Can Share with Hosts
WHY ME?
I can prepare some tasty hungarian food (gulyás, pörkölt, paprikás csirke, főzelékek).
I like to talk with other people about things like culture, habits, politics, entertainment, sport (I do orienteering run and did fencing for quite long).
I'd glad to share my stories, my experiences from all over the world, from South-Asia to North-Europe. Conversations of this kind are beneficial for all of us I think.
I'd be ready to try anything that's new - so if you have some good places to visit, good programms to attend, ideas to follow - should feel free to tell me about them.
What's more, I love languages - my German, English, Italian (and Hungarian) are fluent, I would teach them gladly to you and so gladly would I learn your language as well.
But really why? Because I'd like to have fun, harness all the possibilities and make (my, your) stay enjoyable - for that I shall do everything.
