Music, Movies, and Books
I am fascinated by everything that offers deeper insights into the other parts of the world, from Latin American novels (Allende, Vargas Lllosa...) to postcolonial readings from Africa. Informative and artistic documentaries but also purely entertaining movies and series. Currently, I am trying to listen to more music from outside of Euro-American spheres, especially Afro-Beat and Afro-Funk. Anyway, I still cover pretty much everything, from a lot of electronic music over cheesy and romantic guitar sounds and intelligent hip-hop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What spontaneously comes to my mind is a skydive during my semester in Mexico.
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess cooking together is a pretty amazing way to get to kno each other and learn about each others cultures. Preparing Kässpätzle, a particular type of pasta with cheese with originates from the Southern part of Germany where I grew up, I had several supercool nights with firends and hosts from all around the globe. Hence, I would suggest to spend one night preparing food together.
