About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Rediscovering my Brazilian roots!!

ABOUT ME

I am a constant traveler, I love to explore new places and meet new people. I am curious about new things, so I try to learn as much as I can about them. I usually like to give more than receive when it comes to relationships, and I am very easygoing. Though don't let the cool, laid-back exterior fool you because I can be a great party animal as well! In most things in my life I try to follow the rule of moderation for happinesss...

PHILOSOPHY

"We don't exist unless we are deeply and sensually in touch with that which can be touched but not known.”

"Real zen is not found in the tops of mountains but within oneself."

"La vie ne vaut rien, mais rien ne vaut la vie."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have only hosted one time while I was in Lyon, but I am hoping to find the time and the opportunity to host more people, and thus get the full cs experience. The times that I have couchsurfed have always been delightful surprises, where I have met the most wonderful, friendly people! It makes you believe a little bit more idealistically, at least for me, that people are inherently good. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I never knew about couchsurfing or thought about the idea until i found this website. It has really changed the way i travel. I began my couchsurfing adventures in february during my scandinavian tour, and i saw for myself how this idea can really work. Hosts are always so nice and trusting. All that they ask in return is to learn something new about your culture or listen to stories about previous travels. I made new friends in each country and also got to discover each country even better through the eyes of the people that live there. Nothing can be better than that!

Interests

Travelling is definitely my main interest, also photography, reading interesting books, politics and world affairs, cinema, music, and of course meeting new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel around Europe on a shoestring:

Survive mainly on baguettes, Brie, and French table wine for almost a year

Survive in Barcelona on 30-50 euros a month for food.. and still be in good health.

Survive in Trento on roughly the same budget as above and be in good to average heatlh.

Amazing nature hikes in the Dolomite Mountains in Italy, and in the Drakensberg mountains in South Africa.

Saw the beautiful Calanques de Cassis in France!

Carpooled from Lyon to Zagreb and back, passing through the French Alps and Slovenia.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can have a language/cultural/culinary exchange, and of course share some amusing traveling stories.

I would like to learn some martial art, an instrument, to cook food from your country, and the culture and customs from where you come from.
