Hi! We are two girls, Denice and Tuva, from Sweden, On our trips we are always bringing our very well behived dogs, Smilla and Baileyz that are used to travel and are comfortable and calm in new places. We love everything from wild adventures in the nature to relaxed walks in the cities.

About Me – Denice

Hi! My name is Denice, and I’ve been lucky enough to experience Couchsurfing in Europe back in 2010 and 2013 with my family. Those trips were amazing and gave me so many wonderful memories!

I absolutely love the ocean, nature, and adventure. I have an incredible dog named Baileyz, who means the world to me. We do everything together, and since the day he came into my life, we’ve never been apart. He’s the best boy in the world, and I love him so much! Baileyz is 4 years old and will turn 5 on May 27.

We’ve tried competing in a variety of dog sports, but our favorite by far is freestyle! For those who don’t know, freestyle is where you choreograph tricks to music, creating a dance routine with your dog. At our most recent competition, we came in first place!

Back in high school, I attended Forshagaakademin, where I studied dog training. I became a certified dog trainer and instructor in several dog sports, such as freestyle, nosework, canine fitness/ball exercises, and even a certified dog masseuse! I’m also a Level 2-qualified animal caretaker.

These days, I work at a pet store and run courses in freestyle and nosework in my free time, with plans to expand into other courses soon.

I’ve always been a very active person who loves spontaneous adventures and new experiences. In 2019, I traveled to Sierra Leone with my mom, who was working for FVBU, and it was an unforgettable experience. More recently, in 2023, I volunteered with my sister at a dog shelter in Spain for homeless dogs. It was incredibly rewarding to help give those dogs a new chance at finding a loving home.

One of my most exciting experiences so far has been skydiving! It was an amazing and adrenaline-filled moment that I’ll never forget.

Growing up, my family hosted many Couchsurfers from all over the world, which gave me an appreciation for meeting new people and hearing their unique stories. Those experiences shaped my childhood and inspired my love for travel and connection.

About Me – Tuva

Hi! My name is Tuva, and I’m currently on my first-ever Couchsurfing adventure—so far, I absolutely love it! This trip has already given me so many incredible experiences, and I can’t wait for what’s next.

I have an amazing dog named Smilla, who means everything to me. She’s my best friend, and we share so many adventures together. Just like Denice, I love the ocean, nature, and anything that involves adventure!

I studied at Forshagaakademin, just like Denice, where I became a certified dog trainer and instructor in several dog sports, as well as a Level 2-qualified animal caretaker. The only difference is that I didn’t study nosework, but otherwise, we share the same background!

Right now, I’m on an epic 3–4 month road trip through Europe with Denice and our dogs. Traveling has always fascinated me, and this journey is by far the most exciting thing I’ve ever done. Every day brings new places, new people, and new adventures—it’s truly an unforgettable experience!
