About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small community called Aas, about 30 min outside Oslo. I am 25 years old, have been studying in Pondicherry (India), in Hoi An (Vietnam) and now I left my life in Oslo to study peace studies in Innsbruck (Austria).

PHILOSOPHY

Law of Cardemon (Norwegian: Kardemommeloven) is the only law in Cardemom Town. It is from a book considered as one of the most important Norwegian children's books:
You should not bother others,
you should be nice and kind,
otherwise you can do as you please.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed on a couple of couches in Scandinavia and India and cannot do anything else than recommend this for everyone. A fantastic way to experience the world!

Interests

I love to meet new people, learn about new cultures, traditions and ways of life. Christmas is my favourtite time at year (it's almost a bit embarrassing how much I love Christmas; spending time with friends and family, making cookies, decorating the three, giving gifts and the whole spirit).
Sports have always been an important part of my life, expecially football and handbol, but I love to exercise, both alone and togheter with other. All kinds of outdoor living are perfect ways of exercise. I also like to cook, but unfortunatly my skills at the kitchen could have been much better. At least I have the chance to improve.
How societies work and why the world is as it is have always interested me and I think that everyone I meet on my way may help me to understand a bit more. I think that specially the north-south question is interesting and participate in a voluntary organisation called Changemaker (www.changemaker.no)

Movies: Forest Gump, Dirty Dancing 2, movies that make me feel good, movies that educate me in some way
Books: The Alchemist, My sisters keeper

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel I have been really lucky and have had the opportunity to experience a lot, but I have infinite with wishes for things I want to do.

In the end there are the small things that matters. I will never forget the moment I shared at a beach in the sunrise with my host mother in Brazil. We were drinking chimarrão (a South American kind of tea) and shared experiences. That's a exemple on one amazing thing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to learn how to surf=).
I will try to share as much knowledge as I can if someone want to learn.
