About Me

Hello All!

My name is Tara & my husband & I are our 3 pups are avid travelers of the USA! I've personally couchsurfed many times, hosted couch surfers within our own homes, managed hospitality locations around the west of the US & love to explore all this wonderful country has to offer, including all of the amazing individuals on this site willing to open their homes to weary travelers!

Have questions or want to connect further? Just reach out! I'd love to get to know more of those within this amazing community!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The whole damn awesome experience of it all. However, when I stay with you, I can offer the following:

1. Home cooked meals (I'm quite a cook, let me tell you)
2. Dog Training advice & services
3. Pet Sitting if you're away
4. Zumba lessons
5. Management / CX consulting
6. a good laugh and some insane stories
7. Free photography!

You're opening your home to me...how could I not?!

Interests

I can find interest in pretty much anything creative, but specifically music (I'm a Zumba instructor that teaches a few times a week, so I'm always looking for new music for my routines!), animals (I owned a pet sitting company for 8 years, so pets and animal behavior are a huge passion of mine), photography (I've been doing professional and hobby photography for over 7 years now), good customer service (pretty much unavoidable with my job), meeting new people and learning about their life experiences, etc...

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music ranges anywhere from Sam Smith to reggaeton that makes my bootay shake, to The Flaming Lips (favorite band ever). I pretty much only don't like country (I've always had an aversion, no matter how hard I try not to).

My movie interest is very similar to that of music, but I can't turn down a Wes Anderson film no matter how many times I've seen them all. If it tugs on my heartstrings (like Boyhood, certain documentaries, I Wish I Was here, etc..), then I'm all for it. Anything that revives my extreme human emotions makes me excited.

Most of the books I read currently are based on groups working together to achieve a common goal or stories of hardships that certain people have gone through and how they've overcome it. That's where my mind's at currently with my lifestyle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing is defined as "causing great surprise or wonder; astonishing."

I'm not quite sure if anything I've done constitutes as truly "amazing", but I tend to change frequently, so I'm often surprising people. I've taught young groups how to Zumba and put on performances, trained some of the most aggressive dogs I've ever met, traveled to Puerto Rico and explored caves with bats and massive numbers of cockroaches...I hope to achieve truly amazing things throughout my entire life, even if it's just in the way that I treat others.
