ABOUT ME

Hello all! I'm Marius, from Norway's west coast. I'm currently studying for a BA in Political Science at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway, and will be staying in Beirut for a year to study at AUB.

I hope, and think, that people see me as a nice and justice person. I like listening, but I also like to talk. I'm a photojournalist, and enjoys other peoples stories and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first tried couchsurfing when I went to California for two months. I tried it once in Santa Cruz, and once in Santa Barbara, both which I still remember as really great moments! I haven't hosted anyone yet, because I don't have a couch or proper place to put any yet. I've been moving around the world for the last two years.

I dont have that much experience yet, but can't wait to further explore the couch surfing-world!

Interests

Photojournalism, meeting other human beings, exercise, keepin' it cool. And humor, you can't get far without a bit of humor in your life.

I love sleeping in a newly made bed, the feeling of taking off the shoes after a hike in the mountains, running in the rain, martial arts as a form of therapy, travelling without a plan, cozy evenings in the sofa with a cup of tea or hot chocolate, vast amounts of sleep, Sunday morning breakfasts, self-insight and twists of irony, laughing until it hurts, the sound of firetrucks passing by, photographs with significance, licking the bowl after baking a cake and the good feeling after a workout.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Standing on a rooftop in complete darkness as I saw (barely), heard and smelled hundreds of cows and their Burmese cowboys as they wen't ashore after crossing the waters between Burma and the southernmost point in Bangladesh.

- Walking up to Slogen (1564 meters above sea level), a mountain peak in the alps of Sunnmøre on the northwestern coast of Norway, and looking at the most spectacular view Norway can offer.
