Please before you make any IRREVERSIBLE steps - hostel booking, taxi booking, train booking, try to ask Aborigines first. Otherwise you are just wasting money + time, the exact things you want to save while Couchsurfing. It is tough to help then.

Ideally use What'sApp after getting in touch....CS is cool for refs + profile infos BUT chatting here gets a bit slow, ineffective, especially when coordinating the arrival.

May 2023 update

The game is over. If you want to stay over night within my profile pls follow following:

1) The males will go with me to a local pub, either beer, or tea, or whatever, I really do not care.
2) The females will stay with our females, whatever.
3) If coming with kids and without any health certificate they (the kids) are supposed to eat what served is.
4) Do not employ any human speakers. If I ask a question to a guy, I wanna his answer from him, NOT from his lady. And vice versa. Same for underaged.
5) If you have troubles with 1-4 written above, send a request to our kids.
They might be more diplomatic.
They accept you, and you will stay in our house anyway. But I will not be obliged to join the club.
Old and conservative, I know.

We strongly believe that meeting other people is the best way how to learn about the world.
We have travelled a lot in Europe and Türkiye, now slowing down.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting - lots of CS, Warmshowerists, Hospitalityclubbers, Erasmus people, teachers, and/or students, once Taizé and just whoever is interested including Czech travellers.

Surfing - not much anymore, our offsprings opening their own CS profiles,
we, not old, just more experienced, usually following our friends, not the destinations.
BUT it is always nice to meet new locals, with friends just to meet, in that way to widen the fellowship.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We love getting in schools to see the little differences, and to enjoy the feeling that it is everywhere the same. Almost. :-)Just now a little teaching experience at schools in : Poland, Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, Norway - usually for week, or two , and usually several times.
