ABOUT ME

I was born in California, spent my teens in Michigan, moved to Minnesota for law school, fell in love, and moved back to Michigan to start my law practice. I live in a very rural area where my neighbors are cornfields and cows. I love traveling, and am hoping to take my family to different parts of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge and treat others like I'd want to be treated. I am a vegetarian and teetotaler, but accepting of other lifestyles.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I haven't had the opportunity to visit fellow Couchsurfers or host, but would certainly like to do so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, but it would be great to experience different countries with locals. It's so easy to miss fantastic food and places.

I try to be eclectic about my tastes.

Music likes: Glen Miller, Architecture in Helsinki, The Kinks, Hot Chip, Iggy Pop, Beethoven/other Romantic-era composers, Compay Segundo, etc.

Movie likes: Laura, Send Me No Flowers, LOTR trilogy, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, anything by Hitchcock, most things by James Stewart, anything by Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers, Baby Driver, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eating gelato at Il Gelato in Rome (pistachios and sesame seeds? Genius!), walking all over Western Europe for four months (ah, the foot pain), wading at the beaches in Natal, Brazil.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook, so I'd be happy to prepare meals for my host. I'm a tidy guest, and I don't mind helping to do chores, like dishes, vacuuming, etc. I also love to listen to people's experiences, and I've had times where I sat with someone at the kitchen table snacking and chatting from breakfast til dinner. I am open to trying new things, so if you want a buddy to tag along, I'd be interested.
