ABOUT ME

We are outgoing, easygoing, friendly, and kind. We love art, music, Oxford commas, and all sorts of different kinds of people. We think everyone is interesting in their own way.

Ryan is a consultant for 911 centers around the state. He's an excellent guitar player and is crazy smart. He's chill and friendly, but he does come across a bit like the absent minded professor.

Twila works for Ryan's business writing policy and procedure manuals. She likes to sing, play piano, and use power tools. She's almost always in the middle of a home improvement project.

We haven't surfed yet, but we've hosted a few people now and have loved every minute of it!

We are in a band called Insomnia Plague. We almost exclusively play original songs that Ryan & I write. Our sound is hard to describe... indie-folk? gypsy-indie-folk? Not sure. Think: The Decemberists, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, old Marillion...

Ryan: Gabriel García Márquez, Dan Simmons, old Genesis, Rush, Umphree's McGee, Sci-Fi movies

Twila: My favorite book is Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo. And I'll read anything about any of the Tudors. I love almost all types of music.
Movies? Sure, movies. Don't go very often, but wouldn't miss a James Bond movie for the world... cuz... the world is not enough...

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

We spent a Friday night in Greenwich Village in New York City, and I was amazed by the variety of people out and about throughout the entire night! So many people, and yet I felt part of an intimate gathering of sorts.

The beauty of Vancouver, B.C., Canada blew me away. Imagine looking down a city street, past skyscrapers and beautiful buildings, and see an ocean-liner cruising by!
