CURRENT MISSION

My task is to help implement a new social, technological, and spiritual world order that will make it possible for humans and innumerable cooperative species to inhabit the planet we call earth indefinitely.

ABOUT ME

I am a very easy-going person; people have often told me that I have a calming effect on them. I do enjoy a good party. Being around people who are enjoying themselves gives me a special sort of satisfaction, because of that I do some organizing of informative events that turn into live music parties or just host pot-lucks.

I juggle many things in life. I am a single father. I go to college for Appropriate Technology at Appalachian State University. I'm working on a EPA funded project to address water contamination from coffee processing by using the contaminates to make biogas and ethanol. I'm the president of a non-profit chapter for electric vehicle promotion, building, and education. And, I work at the University's community scale closed-loop biodiesel lab. Also, I always have a few projects in the works from beer making to my veggie oil / biodiesel (soon-to-be electric hybrid) car.

Spiritual being is intensely intertwined in all aspects of my life. About the closest I ever get to organized religious practice is to occasionally participate in guided meditation groups. I also practice yoga & qigong on a regular basis.
I don't often have the time necessary these days, but I have done and will again do lots of acting (mostly stage). I am now learning to juggle and to play the guitar and other instruments.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm all about long-term survivability of the human species and supporting practices that enhance a biologically diverse interdependent global ecosystem.
