I'm exploring as much as I can while I make plans to develop software.

ABOUT ME

I'm an explorer and an experience junkie. I'm also a communicator in that I love to share and learn from others. A "best" time for me would be falling into long conversations about the minutia of just about any subject... When I'm picking the subject, it's usually something about science, the natural world, human interactions, or capturing moments in photos or prose.

I love dancing (swing, ballroom, and even just rocking out to a fun band). I love flying because I love the view. I love juggling and stilt walking because I love the physical forces involved. I love finishing a project, large or small. I love cooking: it's art that you get to eat. I love political discourse, but only so much of it. I love meeting people and learning about them. I love teaching things to people that are interested... And doing my best to foster that interest. Mostly, I love doing things. There are so many things on this planet to do and I'm making a stab at doing as many of them as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I do my best to live my life by trying and doing as many different things as possible. I love new experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting started with couchsurfing. I'd like both host surfers and be hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, my couchsurfing has just been limited to friends that I've met through other avenues. I went to Lithuania with a friend from law school. We stayed with his folks, but we stayed in two different apartments since space was tight. I was put up with his grandmother - an amazing woman in her mid 80's who was still working full time as a doctor at a nearby hospital. She doted on her grandson (my friend). It was really neat to see the interaction between them.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Various. I'm into science fiction, but more broadly, well done story telling. I love going out to see live music. If you come to Madison, I'll do my best to get you out to Gomeroke - it's Karaoke with a live band backing you up. The band can play thousands of songs, so you're bound to find one you like.

I can teach the basics of lots of things: sailing, flying, knots, cooking, beers, computer stuff, photography, and so on... I'd love to learn more advanced stuff!
