About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Asia, get at me.
ABOUT ME
I currently live in Beijing, China, eating Chinese food like it's my job. (My actual job involves research and writing about Chinese society and economy). In addition to exploring China, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to travel around different parts of Asia and frequently come to the realization that the currency in my wallet is not applicable to the place I am currently in.
I previously worked as a professional thinker at a think tank in Washington, DC. I am originally from New Jersey, and not surprisingly I wanted to leave. No offense. Now I live in Beijing, but I feel right at home because New Jersey trained me well.
I do not like long walks on the beach, but short to medium walks are acceptable.
If you speak Chinese, I will try to speak to you in Chinese. If you don't speak Chinese, I will probably still try to speak to you in Chinese.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to understand a place as it is lived by the people who live there, which is both infinitely more interesting and comes with better restaurant recommendations.
