ABOUT ME

I am a traveler who had been confined to a cubicle with a tiny noose around my neck for twelve years. No longer do I subscribe to that lifestyle. I have given away all of my "stuff" and now have confined my life to a backpack. My intention is to make my way across the country, from Florida to Oregon, on foot. Many opportunities have arisen since I took my first step, so this may take longer than the eighteen months that I had originally imagined (such is life). I want to meet as many people as possible, and do everything.

PHILOSOPHY

The best laid plans of mice and men, gang aft aglay. Rarely is the destination as enriching as the journey.

I have hosted and surfed with people from all over the world. Every Couchsurfing encounter has not only been positive, but has also challenged me to think deeper about myself and my life.

Most recently, I Kayaked the Chattooga River in South Carolina. That's the river that the movie "Deliverance" was filmed on.
