I'll be more descriptive I promise, but right now I am just filling a few blanks before hitting the road for the day.
I've been doing the couch surfing unofficially through friends, one of whom happens to be a big surfing and hosting advocate so she convinced my to join up here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My last (and next) months have been too hectic with work, visitors and travel of my own, to host, but I hope to open up the couch option when I get back to settled in early 2012

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far my couchsurfing experience is all unofficial though quite extensive. I firmly believe that the best way to experience any city is with the guidance of locals and whenever possibly I try to stay with friends or friends of friends. It doesn't hurt that it often also means free accommodation.

While I will check the museum and gallery scene, the areas I take the most interest in are usually the more hidden or mundane: from the little back-alley bars to the supermarkets.
I'm a design nerd, a bike geek, an engineering nut and photography fan.
