Is it cheesy to say my mission is to meet people from all over the world? What is the point of traveling if you don't get to know the people?

ABOUT ME

So, aside from spending all my time with 13 year olds (which is both as difficult and fantastic as it sounds) I try to (occasionally) pretend to be the adult the birthdate on my license says I am.

I am your cool, realistic, down-to-earth kind of girl who does not want to waste a single second of what is sure to be a fabulous life. The best way to get to know me, I suppose, are some examples of what you might find me doing.

I am economical! I have been known to save cash on vacation in Scotland by...well...let's say selectively ignoring signs which may or may not have told me not to break into Urquhart Castle so I could watch the sunset over Loch Ness. If anyone asks however, Nessie told me to do it.

I, like so many cliché travel movies, like the wind in my hair...while racing with a 18 wheeler down an empty two lane highway in Ohio...all because I wrote "Tag You're It!" on my rear window.

I am involved with my community! I, very recently, made chocolate pies for a classroom project. The food fight in the kitchen during the making was purely perfunctory. It is in the directions, right after 'add milk'. Go check if you don't believe me. I'll just wait here while you do.

I've had a couchsurfing account for a while, but was lame enough to not appreciate its awesomeness. I am currently fixing this mistake! Let's get together!

Interests

camping, campfires, sports, socializing, fun, nature, hiking, working with kids, exploring cities, trying new foods (EXCEPT NOT Greenland Shark. I realize that was the opposite of "interest" but it felt important to say. Nothing like a piece of rotten, once poisonous shark that locals described as 'piss and bleu cheese' (Very accurate description, unfortunately).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies? I am going to combine movies and shows because if you have seen BBC's Sherlock you will understand. No self respecting show would call three episodes a season.

Music? Lets go with eclectic....everything minus rap. The last show I went to was Flogging Molly...but then again any show with a mosh pit has its own special merits.

Books? I have a library! It is small but still...it has books!
