We love meeting new people and enjoy learning about new places by being with local people. We are looking to host people that like the same!

ABOUT US

We are both professionals who have recently moved to Sydney from Vancouver.

We try to get out and do something as much as possible, but relaxing at home and watching a movie or reading is also fun every once in a while.

We love travelling! It is our favorite thing to do and collectively we have been to about 20 countries . Seeing new places, learning new things and meeting new people is awesome and we look forward to every adventure!

There is a lot about us that we can say but it will take forever to write. Hopefully this little glimpse helps but if you want to know more about us just ask!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would love to meet as many people as possible through CS, both staying with us and on our own travels. Both Cheryl and I think having such a wide network of friends is awesome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only used couch surfing on my road trip across Canada, while Cheryl is new to it. I stayed with people in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Britt, Montreal, Quebec City, Rouyn-Noranda, and Halifax. Everyone was so accommodating and hospitable. I really enjoyed my time and would love to use this every time we travel as well as host as many people as possible!

Interests

THOMAS

I love soccer! I have been playing for the last 20 years and I will probably keep playing for the next 20 years.

I love travelling and if I was incredibly rich I would drop everything and travel the world.

I also enjoy hiking and I need to buy a tent so I can start doing some overnight hiking!

I have so many interests its hard to remember them all and post here so just ask!

CHERYL

Interested in seeing the world, photography and urban exploration (although I haven't a chance to explore Sydney much yet).

I'm also a huge technology geek so I'll probably tell you all about my newest gadget when you're here.

I love swimming and going to the beach and trying new things and going on adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love EDM and have been to both Tomorrowland and EDC as well as so many local concerts in both Vancouver and Sydney. You will usually hear house playing on our shower speaker but also occasionally country or other fun songs.

We love funny movies like Pineapple Express and anything with Will Ferrell, but really any comedy will do. We do like other movies as well with another notable being The Wolf of Wall Street.

I am really into books about modern history. I prefer reading books that discuss the last 150 years, but I am not above reading earlier history. I also enjoy financial history and issue type of book (I know it sounds boring). Every once in a while I like to throw a random book from a different genre in there. Cheryl loves to read on her kindle mostly books by Malcolm Gladwell.
