Overview
About Me
My name is Meritxell, although people call me Txell because it's shorter. I'm a 23 year old just graduated student from Barcelona.
I'm currently traveling around Asia with my partner without a return ticket, just exploring, doing workaway and meeting the nicest people from all around the globe! We have had some great CS experiences so far.
I'm an open minded person who loves discovering new places. I love doing different things and learning from people I meet, and although I'm not really sure what I want to do in life, I know the only way to find out is following my restlessness, which now is to travel. I feel traveling allows me to broader my mind and get to understand better other cultures and realities.
I like nature and doing sport and I'm also really into social journalism. I would like to get higher education in this field.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's a very enriching way to travel. It gives you the opportunity not only to meet new people but to share experiences and understand a bit more the country you are visiting.
Interests
I love all kinds of dances. I've done from ballet to african dance, but 3 years ago I decided to focus on tap dancing.
I like photography and although I'm not very good at it last year I did an exposition with a friend of mine about people who attend soup kitchens in Barcelona.
Some years ago I discovered I like trekking when I hiked and camped in Andorra for 3 days. I recently did the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal and it was mindblowing. It's so satisfying!
I love getting addicted to TV series and books.
Languages are something that fascinate me and I like learning new ones although it's hard work. I recently picked up French again, which I abandoned when I was a teenager.
Writing is like a therapy to me. I love doing it as an exercise to organise my ideas and express some personal issues and also as a more "creative" thing.
And of course, travelling is one of my favourite things to do. I'm always saving up to travel! If I can, I try to go to countries that are way different than mine so I can learn more about its people and the place itself.

I can teach about my culture and maybe I can teach how to cook some typical dishes from my country.
