About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy the diversity of this wonderful world (as Louis Armstrong would sing) sharing experiences and views and learning from each other to prove that, although the news may say different, the world is full of generous people and kindness.

ABOUT ME

Im an easy going and friendly 36 years old-male. People who know me think that Im great fun, but it´s a bit weird to say that about oneself, isn´t it? Im Pisces, not religious, but respectful and curious about other´s believes. I have many questions and few answers, but I keep on looking for them. No rush. I enjoy travelling and I have been lucky enough to visit many places of this wonderful planet. I love walking on forests, climbing mountains and being outdoors in general, I love trees and I am, also, interested in everything reegarding people. Some other hobbies are, reading, playing saxophone (alt sax)and listening to music (mainly Jazz, Samba and Bossa-Nova). I also enjoy having a beer in good company and sharing experiences with genuine people.

I have been living in Dublin (Ireland)for the last 5 years and before that I lived in the Basque Country and in Galway (Ireland) for another 2 years. I work as a Spanish teacher in Dublin and i usually spend 8 months of the year in Dublin and the remianing 4 either in the Basque Country (Vitoria-Gasteiz) or travelling.

I speak Spanish, Basque, English and I can understand French, Italian and Portuguese.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that evry single day matters and I try to make th

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to participate both as a host and as a guest. I always shared appartment and that made it difficult (impossible) to host anyone, but I´d like to give something in return to the generousity I've always found in CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While travelling in South America I met amazing people who shared their time with me showing me around their cities and towns and even having me as their guest in their home. I am truly thankful for those experiences.

Interests

I love travelling, walking in the mountains and enjoying nature. I also love rock-climbing, reading novels and poetry and listening to music (any type, but mainly Jazz, salsa and Brazilian music, specially Bossa-Nova and Samba)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I circumnavigated the world on a boat, an amazing experience on bord the Peace Boat, a Japanese based NGO for promoting peace, human rights and awareness on environmental issues. On the boat I taught Spanish to the Japanese participants interested in learning it as we visited many Spanish speaking countries.

I climbed the Mount Fuji in Japan and the Hauyna Potosí (6088 mtr) in Bolivia.

I sat twice on my computer and both times it broke.
