ABOUT ME
I am a friendly, personable guy looking to see the world while I am young. I love learning about other cultures and the different parts of our beautiful world. I love flying, traveling, speaking Spanish, anything outdoors, dancing, and am willing to try almost anything. I can be irreverent for the sake of irony and humor but never want to offend. I love satire and split pea soup (not necessarily at the same time). I love putting myself in uncomfortable situations as a way of learning and adapting. I am caring and will make sure you have enough towels, bedding, hugs, and food if you are my guest. I will leave little to no traces of my stay, apart from random nice notes, if I am your guest. I have also become somewhat of a minimalist. I would rather spend money and resources on spending quality time with family, friends, or traveling than on material things.
PHILOSOPHY
I find beauty and relativity in all facets of life. I truly beleive that life is what we make of it. More on my philosophy:
Be nice as much as possible
Luck (unluck) is generally an excuse
Emphasize empathy rather than emphasize self-righteousness
Try to understand rather than judge
Be one of your word
The only thing we own are our thoughts and memories
Cherish your situation- remember, you are unique just like everybody else
Life is on borrowed time
Is it better to be happy or right?
Waste not want not
Don't find yourself, create yourself! life is your canvas, the world your frame
Fortune favors the bold
Create rather than consume
Believe rather than doubt
Be rather than seem
Focus on the solution instead of focusing on the problem
Life is not about how long you exist, rather it is about how much you LIVE.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed in four continents and have hosted people from three. I try to stay active in the local CS community by attending events and hosting them. I love partaking in CS shenanigans in other cities!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience I found myself learning how to wrestle from good ol' Massy, who then took pictures of my friend and I in pseudo-compromising positions, psychoanalyzed me, and told me I need to strengthen my ego. It was a wonderfully odd experience. But hey, I am still here and loving it.
