Hi! I'm Tycho Toothaker, an American 19-year-old studying at the University of Edinburgh. I am studying International Relations and Russian at the moment, and I hope to eventually become a diplomat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, and Couchsurfing is such a good way to do it! I haven't couchsurfed yet but I can't wait to! Unfortunately I don't have a bed in Edinburgh to share with others.

Books: Margaret Atwood, most notably The Handmaid's Tale and Oryx and Crake, Year of the Flood, and Maddaddam. Also other sci-fi, and Shakespeare.

Music: All over the place, but I really like Johnny Cash and Death Cab for Cutie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing...Well I dunno...I studied in France for a year and got the highest grade on their Lit exam, the Bac, does that count?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and French, and I am particularly looking for Russian and Spanish speakers so I can work on those languages.
