2024 NEWSFLASH: I'm starting up a Video-Podcast on my YouTube channel, in which my CouchSurfers are the guests (I'm also inviting other people living here in Amsterdam). So... if you feel like sharing your stories on my YouTube channel, be my guest! (literally, you will be my guest, haha). The podcast will take like 1 hour to film, depending on how long our talk is. And it will go about Amsterdam, Couchsurfing, and YOU!

When surfing at my place, you'll be featured in at least 1 video and/or podcast.

👋I am 𝐓𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐎 from Amsterdam, born and raised in Amsterdam, and in this video I'm gonna... oh wait, this is what I'm usually saying in my YouTube videos. Let's get back to the intro; I am tall, have two eyes, one nose, (usually) clean teeth😬, and I am young at heart and creative. I love creating things! let's create something together! A song, a poem, a drawing, an album cover, a painting, a milkshake, let's go wild! Warning: sometimes I make jokes (only good ones, of course), but I can be very serious too, like when I'm cleaning my couch after some dirty CouchSurfer slept there! I lived in 5 locations spread over the city, I know every corner, every traffic light, and every rotten apple that fell from the tree. Currently, I'm living within 5 minutes' walking distance of the center of the city.

🕑I really enjoy good conversations with people. Wouldn't it be great if we could talk for hours and time passes by as if it's nothing? The downside is that time passes by as if it's nothing! If the glass full of half-full? Or maybe there is not even a glass? How will you drink your chocolate milk then? Time is precious my dear reader. And if you are reading these sentences it means that I am robbing you of your precious time with my random food for thoughts (this is a proverb, it has nothing to do with food unless you're hungry - in that case we can make it about food, and chocolate milk).

🧂I started hosting people in 2013, and have hosted around 500+ people ever since. So many people, so many stories, so many memories. Most people don't write any reviews though, haha (cries internally). By inserting the codeword 'shamone' in your request, I'll know that you are one of the few who actually read my profile. I'm just going to add a few more words here to hide the word even further.

🎥 In 2020 I decided to combine my hobbies, Couchhosting and Filmmaking, and started up my YouTube channel about Amsterdam. If you're not camera-shy, and in the mood to join me on for example one of my walking routes through the city, that would be fun! I also plan to make some cooking videos, maybe you'd prefer that? Or Dutch board game videos? Or anything! (if it's at least remotely related to Amsterdam) If you have any other ideas, I'm certainly open to suggestions! And if you're doing YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok yourself; it could be like a collab kinda thing! :)

🏨Since 2023 I started working in a hotel. It's fun, because I host people at home, and now also host people at work. What's next, hosting people in the metaverse?
