About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to capture the beauty of as many countries as possible so I can portray them in my paintings and art work. I want to broaden my cultural experiences and see the world. I never want to have to be stuck in one place, there is just too much to see.
ABOUT ME
I am the kind of person that tries to fit as much into a day as possible, no minute is worth wasting. A little bit of relaxation is great every once in a while but there is always something to do. I love reading books and painting in my free time. I bring my sketchbook with me everywhere and draw every chance I get. I love every art class I have ever taken and will do something with it in my life some day. I love children and old people the like because they just have so much to offer; the children, their peaceful innocence, and the old, their stories of wisdom. That is why i used to babysit and work at a retirement home. I like to surround myself with exciting upbeat people to keep my spirits always up. There isn't much in life that holds me back. I love meeting more and more people every chance I get because every person has something to offer, even if it is just great conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I volunteer in Italy at a children's english-italian after school program called Creative Corner. There I play with the kids and help them learn english and interact with each other.
At home I volunteer once a week at an elementary school tutoring 3-5th graders and I used to volunteer at a soup kitchen.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have currently never couch surfed but my sister couch surfed many places in Europe and I have met many people who have done it and loved every second of it.

Movies: Save the Last Dance, How to Deal, Big Daddy, Dazed and Confused..I love getting random movie recommendations and just broadening my collection.
Books: Crank, Glass, Impulse, Perks of Being a Wallflower, One Child, The Giver, Brave New World, Speak...I also love reading.
There isn't much I dont like and am always up for new movies, books or music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Italy has probably been the most amazing experience of my life. I walk out my door every morning and remind myself I am in Florence the most amazing city for art. I take painting here which consists of sitting in the square or up on a hill and painting the city or the bridges. I take an art history class that involves exploring the many amazing chruches and museums in Florence and learning about them on site. I take a cinema class where we watch amazing Italian films and get to explore the Italian media. I am taking Italian and getting to experience the non-touristy feel of the city. I also get to take a 3 day weekend of travel every weekend and leave the country or explore more of Italy. Not one second of this trip has been a disappointment. I have seen many places in italy, paris, Ireland, and am planning to go to Spain next week. I love it here and will never forget this experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share some of my traveling experiences and memories with whoever wants to know them. I can help with art skills and share my knowledge about creating beautiful artwork. I am willing to teach what I know of Italian or share amazing places to visit.
