About Me

Hi, my name is Ty! I am new to solo travel I am currently in my fifth month and it has been an amazing experience. My goal here is to make connections and long-lasting friendships and really learn about different cultures and languages. I’m always up for an adventure planned or spontaneous.

Music, Movies, and Books

All three of my favorite things it’s hard to just choose one. My favorite trilogy to read is called The Hollow Kingdom by Claire B Dunkle. I’ve read it three times. As far as movies I think I have almost a top five for each category lol. For romance I love the Titanic, it’s a classic of course. Also Dear John, The Notebook, PS. I Love You, and A Walk to Remember. For Comedy, Think Like a Man 1 & 2, About Last Night (2012), Rush Hour (all three). Horror… The Conjuring (all), the Amityville Horror (2005), Insidious, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Purge, Annabelle. Action… Fast and the Furious (basically all but my fav fav is Tokyo Drift haha), Transformers (The first one), and music it’s way to hard to choose a favorite I love too many across so many different genres and languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I’ve done thus far is take this huge trip to Taiwan it’s my first international trip ever and only my second flight ever which consisted of three planes it was long but worth it and I’m just so excited to be on this solo travel journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning Mandarin and could teach English. I am open to language exchange. I can teach cooking although I am not perfect haha. I cook a lot at home because I am vegetarian. I also eat vegan food and fish so I am a pescetarian at times too. I can teach hair styling! I am not a hair stylist but I've learned from what I like to call YouTube University how to properly care for my hair and do all kinds of styles on my own and I like to help others too with any hair type.
