Hey! My name's Tyler. I'm a 31 year old bartender, motorcycle mechanic/chopper builder, and marathon runner. I've lived in Chicago for 13 years, so I typically say that's where I'm from. I have traveled a decent amount, most recently in Germany and Austria, though I have seen lots of Europe and both coasts of the US. I love music and live shows, trying new food, and talking to new people. And, even though I am sober, NA beers at the bar are one of my favorite pastimes. Traveling, for me, is seeing the places through the eyes and words of the people who live there. I like sharing experiences and stories I've had, but also love hearing ones from others.

Currently, I'm training for the Vienna Marathon, which is on April 19th, plus I will be running Chicago this year. As well, I will begin a masters of Architecture here in Chicago, where I will be focusing on acoustics. I want to become an advocate for the use and design of acoustics in normal and common spaces, not just places like venues and studios. And I hope, one day, that works leads me to living somewhere in and around Austria or Germany.

I will be traveling through Paris. I land April 13th and leave for Vienna on the 15th. I am seeing Dry Cleaning at Le Trianon on April 14th and am looking for a host for those nights. Not required, but if you would like to also go to the show, that would be a plus. :)

Some of my favorite bands: Dry Cleaning, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Squid, Cola, Parquet Courts, Dumbo Gets Mad (who I am missing in Chicago during this trip!!). I also love the music scene here in Chicago: my friend's band, The Glyders, is traveling through Europe the same time as I am and I will be seeing them **somewhere**.
