Overview
About Me
I am the youngest of three kids and just graduated from Pitzer College in May of 2015 with a degree in Sociology. My career goal is to become a high school art teacher someday, but in the meantime I hope to gain experience living outside the United States.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I spoke with my old English teacher who referred me to a friend who I spoke with about living abroad. She suggested that I sign up for Couchsurfing as a way of meeting interesting people and fueling adventure while in New Zealand.
Interests
Painting, spending time around dogs, basketball, throwing a frisbee, swimming, being a volunteer DJ at an independent radio station.

Music, Movies, and Books
Boards of Canada, movies that are visually and thoughtfully stimulating such as Waking Life, and any book written by Murakami.
Toy Story is always one of the best, Spongebob, The Gorillaz, Monster Rally, Classixx, Nujabes, and Rick and Morty.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a life-sized version of the pokemon "Charmeleon" out of clay.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to talk about dreams, art, basketball, music, the social world and really the entire universe, I want to learn bits and pieces of as many new languages as possible as well as hearing stories from new people, and by sharing my own stories I hope to learn about how they intersect with aspects of other people's lives. I want to gain insight on what people's goals are in life why they do what they they do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my time and energy by doing anything to help. Possibly cooking, gardening, cleaning, and taking care of pets among other things.
