About Me

Born and raised in San Diego, California and have always wanted to start traveling more. I finally decided it was time to walk away from corporate life and now it looks like the time is finally right to go nomad for a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To affordably travel long-term and meet new people along the way. This seems like a great way to really experience the destinations that Im traveling to rather than simply being a tourist. Most importantly to make new friends from around the world as I travel!

Interests

Anything outdoors or active, love of arts, travel, gaining new perspectives on things. I am especially passionate about coral reefs and want to dive as much as possible in the upcoming years while we still have corals to see!

Music, Movies, and Books

For music I like pretty much anything, never have been picky about music!

Movies: Good Will Hunting, Into the Wild, One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Django Unchained, plus many more.

Non-fiction books (I’m a nerd).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked Volcan Acatenango and watched Volcan Fuego erupt throughout the night, Scuba dove all down the mesoamerican reef (2nd largest in the world) in the Carribean, volcanoborded down the side of Volcan Cero Negro, swam with dolphins in Honduras, Watched the Eiffel shine at Night, walked the halls the Real Alcazar, experienced mass at the Notre Dame, ridden motorcycles down PCH, swam with a crocodile at Casa Cenote, kayaked in the Bacalar Lagoon; to name a few. hopefully more to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can help teach/share with my knowledge about gardening, TEFL certified to teach English as a foreign language, reef-keeping, insurance, riding motorcycles, and plenty of other things.

Learning on the other hand, Im always willing to learn new things and go outside my comfort zone; in fact, I try to make a point of doing so!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, money for food, English teaching, help with chores, respect, willingness to learn, good company and an even better attitude.
