Overview
About Me
An outdoors man trapped in Los Angeles. Utterly obsessed with all things nature. Getting lost in a strange place is what makes me feel the most inextricably linked with mother earth. Rain or shine, the beach or the jungle, I'm up for discovery. I'm primarily a rock climber/backpacker. Next would come skating or surfing. And after that anything I have not yet tried. I love to slackline. I've been playing the drums for most of my life. I am an amateur connoisseur of all things alcoholic. You wont find me without a book nearby. I love to debate and discuss a wide range of topics be it political or philosophical to the best movies or flavor ice cream (I have a compelling argument for Rocky Road). I write extremely mediocre stand up comedy in my spare time because of the multitude of things I love doing in my life, making people laugh ranks number one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me and my roommate booked a trip to Thailand last year and the weeks leading up to the trip there were a series of terrorist attacks targeting tourist cities. My friend ended up backing out of the trip due to safety concerns and before I knew it I was sitting on a plane alone headed overseas for the first time. A 2 week spree of anxiety and solitude ended up being the most transformative experience of my life. I returned home to inform my boss of my inevitable resignation and immediately went on a budgeting spree so I could return as quickly as possible. 8 months later and my money is saved, I am job free and have nothing but a backpack and a 1 way ticket to Bali, Indoneisa to start my journey. Just looking for friends to enjoy the ride with.
