About Me
Pilot, Adventurer, Motorcyclist, Professional Life-Liver.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travel is all about connection and immersing yourself in the experience. If you hole yourself up in a hotel you’ll likely never share stories of trips down the mighty Yukon River in the northern reaches of Alaska. You’ll likely never get to share about snorkeling with exotic fish in the warm waters off Jamaica. You’ll never hear about the heartbreaking experiences of native youth and the subsequent freedom they found in Jesus. Getting past your comfort zone and immersing yourself in the local culture is all part of the travel experience.
Interests
I love flying. The feeling of the tires lifting off the ground is indescribable.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I love Jeremy Camp and I’m a fan of NF. On road trips I enjoy opening the sunroof and listening to Folk music. To be honest, my mainstream music variety isn’t that vast. I can only name one song from Aerosmith. haha
Movies:
I love Everest and Jurassic Park. I’m not a big fan of fantasy save for the MCU, Star Wars, and LOTR. I judge movies on their camera work, cutscenes, one liners, and character arcs.
Books:
Into Thin Air, The Sewing Circles of Herat, Unleash The Warrior Within, Fearless, The Wright Brothers, Within Reach: My Everest Story.
Bonus:
I love The Office!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Earned my pilot’s certificate at 20 y.o.
Teach, Learn, Share
I‘m knowledgeable on many random topics as I love learning new things. I’m always open to listening to people share their stories, viewpoints, and ideas. When I moved next to the ocean I became aware of the effect of plastic pollution in our oceans and as a result I carry reusable shopping bags and a reusable straw everywhere I go.
Aviation and missions are my passions.
The suicide, sexual abuse, and substance addiction statistics in Alaskan villages are heartbreaking. My passion is to provide access to hope for these hurting individuals.
