About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I need to move away from my family, I need to get on my own two feet as an independent, and working dead-end jobs here in NC just isn't cutting it. Couch surfing would provide me an opportunity to get on my own two feet elsewhere, within reason.
ABOUT ME
I'm a very laid-back person. I keep my hands and feet to myself, and would like to consider myself to be somewhat sociable. I'm quite courteous, to the point of going beyond humbling myself before another. I'm obsessed with music and the arts in general. I'm a practicing Buddhist and am an avid yoga practitioner and meditator. Open-minded free spirit with a strong code of conduct and self-discipline. Non-violent: never been in a fight, etc.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe as the human race, collectively, we have a long way to go before we can eradicate all vestiges of class structure, inequality, and ignorance: all of which I believe are a thorn in our collective side. I believe that we must be the change we wish to see, and I have, and will continue to live by that, until my dying breath.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd save the money to go to where I'd be surfing, and some money to fall back on to chip in on the space, water, and electricity I'd use. I'd buy my own food, have the money for a bike and/or public transportation. Would be job hunting like a madman even before surfing wherever I'd be looking into. I'm hoping that surfing could be my way to establishing my independence in this world, but I wouldn't half-ass it or mooch with it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've unofficially surfed in Asheville, NC, with much success, just wasn't ready to stick it all the way out and wound up going back to my family. Never doing that again...

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Beats Antique, Bassnectar, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Shpongle, Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, Lenka, Blackmill, Bob MArley, Sublime, Run DMT, Lovedrug, Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, ACDC, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac, and way too many more to list here.
Movies and books are innumerable, I've read and seen too much fiction and non-fiction, people tell me to start on my own book more than we talk about books, but I am a fan of some classic authors: Walt Whitman, Robert Frost, and Edgar Allan Poe
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Blue Ridge Parkway was ten minutes away from my house in NC growing up, and Tellico Plains in Tennessee was one of the most beautiful spots in nature I have yet to witness firsthand. The Carribean I have seen once, and it was gorgeous, just not my climate of choice.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hatha yoga, metaphysics, mindfulness, breathing and other forms of meditation. Highly organized and efficient. Extremely logical in mind, and intuitive by heart.
