With no towns or mechanics for miles, I was stranded. I found some local guys loading logs onto a semi and I asked one of them to empty his pockets. He gave me a bewildered and confused look, but then obliged. He withdrew 76 quetzals (about $9). I looked at him and while smiling, handed him the key to my bike and took the bills.
