About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty easy going guy, I like to chill and listen to or play music. I enjoy cooking alot because I work as a proffessional chef. I am always down to have a few drinks and play some games, or have a good time at the pub.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend and I have been travelling out of Canada since Oct 2014. We have travelled for 2 months before moving to NZ for a year on a working holiday visa to save money and travel again. We are currently on the last leg of our travels before we go home and would enjoy some new experiences and insight to the local life before we have to return home. We are both very friendly and love making new friends. Also if the ability to learn more about local cuisine is available a I am more than enthusiastic to learn.

Interests

I really love cooking and expanding my flavour profile by trying new foods which is one of my main reasons for traveling. I love the outdoors, in the summer I like to go on hikes and forage for mushrooms and local plants. As well as going for hikes I really enjoy camping and swimming. Katee and I both play ukulele and also enjoy playing games for entertainment (especially catan, which we have a travelers size version of)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy almost all types of music, I grew up listening to a lot of ska, reggae, and punk rock but also enjoy hip hop. I prefer older movies mostly from the 90's when I grew up, my favorite is probably Teenage mutant ninja turtles. As for books, I don't read that much, mostly cookbooks but I do enjoy the hobbit and the Harry Potter books

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to cook mostany kind of food if you are interested in learning. I love to learn about food, ingredients and cooking, but I am also in the process of learning French from my girlfriend and am enjoying it quite a lot. Sharing is what I am best at, I will share stories, songs, food, and whatever else I have to offer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer to be a personal chef during my stay with you and would be very happy to do it if you allowed me. I will even clean the dishes if I get the chance to share some of my food with you.
