About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To sample delicious craft beer in every state.

ABOUT ME

I just graduated, and this is my last summer, so I'm spending it the best way I knew how - swimming all the time, brewing/drinking a lot of beer, hanging out with the people I love, reading good books, eating at all my favorite spots around Austin, and just generally enjoying all the beautiful things that surround me.

I love living in Austin, and if you're going to come to Texas it's definitely the first city worth visiting. There are tons of outdoors-ey things to do here, lots of interesting venues, and tons of friendly people. But despite all the great things about Austin, I can't wait to leave. I've lived here my entire life, and it is time for me to get out to explore some new places!

PHILOSOPHY

Know thyself, but not necessarily Latin

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Victoria, one of my housemates, is awesome about hosting couch surfers. She inspired me to get started on CS myself, and I hope to host some bad ass people at some point myself. This summer after I graduate, I have a few cross country trips that I am planning on couch surfing for. And finally, when I move out of Austin, I'm going to host as many people in Kansas City as will come!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to host anyone myself, but one of my roommates (Victoria) is super-active at couch surfing, and we have people stay all the time. In fact, there is one on our couch that I am looking at RIGHT NOW.

Interests

Doing things outside in the sun, homemade pizza with ridiculous toppings, staying up late with cool people, stargazing, putting myself in uncomfortable situations so that I have to adapt, ice blocking, adventures that don't end with me being arrested, the power of the internet, brewing beer, and of course meeting interesting people while traveling

Music, Movies, and Books

Neal Stephenson. That is all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting a cathedral made out of bones, then singing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" with the only other english speakers within 200 miles while drinking a beer whose name I couldn't pronounce.

Teach, Learn, Share

I only have so much time to devote to things I enjoy, so anything I do, I do it 100%
