About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Gain hosting experience and save money so that I can have successful couchsurfing experiences while I travel throughout the year.

ABOUT ME

I'm considerate and quiet, but I'm not shy. I like talking about books, TV, movies, music, and traveling. I like making people feel comfortable and having long talks over beers. Since I started going to gigs at 15, I've loved seeing live music. It's especially fun to catch shows in other countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan on hosting for a while and taking several trips later this year.

Interests

In my free time, I study Korean, play soccer, ride my bike, write fiction, read, and watch TV.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: (what I've been playing recently) Animal Collective, Real Estate, AC Newman, Dirty Projectors, Neutral Milk Hotel, Vampire Weekend, Eraserheads, Okkervil River, Shugo Tokumaru, Aesop Rock, and Woods.

Books: Steinbeck, Faulkner, Hemingway, Nabokov, and all of those classic writers. Lately, I've been trying to read more modern stuff. I really like Junot Diaz, Michael Chabon, Eggers, Murakami, David Foster Wallace, and Kazuo Ishiguro.

Movies: Kubrick, the Coen Brothers, P.T. Anderson, Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Spike Jonze, Kim Kiduk, and Park Chanwook.
