Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new individuals and experience the culture of the places I am visiting on a much deeper level than simply as a tourist who is staying in padded resorts and hotels. By staying in the homes of locals, I can appreciate the culture and cities on a more profound and empathetic level. I love the idea of opening myself up to the locals and meeting like-minded individuals who are just as passionate about life and travel as I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, the kind of music I play personally is alternative, similar to James Bay or Gavin DeGraw.
I frequent the movies quite often with my girlfriend. It is the place we can be found most at home if we are not traveling.
I don't read books too much anymore, however, I do listen to them on audible! I love self-help/improvement books of all kinds. A few of my favorite books of all time are The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo and Vagabonding by Rolf Potts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've completely written, and recorded my first singer/songwriter album all by myself without a backing band to help me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently I am learning Spanish, and hoping to become fluent or at least semi-fluent by the time I go backpacking through South America.
