ABOUT ME

All in all, I'm a huge nerd. I recently finished my PhD in Clinical Psychology, I love Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and I spend a lot of my free time playing video games. That being said, I am all about humor and wit, and you'll often see me making a fool of myself in order to amuse others. I love running, the outdoors, and being close to nature. Despite that, I don't do drugs, smoke, drink or spend a lot of time in bars/clubs. In my mind, a good time is time spent conversing over good food, playing some board games, or exploring a new place.

In 2014 I found myself stuck in a terrible school application process that left me sitting at the same job for 3 years waiting for an internship. At one point I decided I needed to spend my time doing something different, so I threw everything I owned into a storage unit and traveled all over the world for about 8 mo.

I'm on this site to find people of a similar mindset; those that crave adventure and exploring just over the next horizon. Now that I'm settled into my career, I hope to break to common American perception that trips abroad are only for the wealthy or those currently in college. More importantly, I hope to never lose that desire for exploring new places and making new friends.

Favorite Music: Anything but rap or country. Current favorites include Michael Buble, Great Big Sea, Of Monsters and Men, Mat Kearney and a host of other alternative/indie artists.

Favorite Movies: Anything funny, beautiful or action-packed. Recent favorites include Blazing Saddles, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Way, Serenity, and anything Star Trek, Star Wars or Marvel.

Favorite Books: Anything Fantasy or Psychology related. Recent authors include Terry Brooks, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan and Terry Pratchett.
