About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To battle xenophobia by partying more than is safe or reasonable in the name of "international relations".
ABOUT ME
Please read this message if you're trying to stay with me! If I'm asking to stay with you, please skip to after the *'s. Thanks! =)
*************************************************
READ ME FIRST: I live on an island.
Let me repeat that, I live on an island.
The reason I have to post this is that so far, about 95% of people contacting me are looking to stay in Central Tokyo. So here's the deal, if you want to stay with me, make sure you want to stay on the island of Oshima, 100km from Tokyo. Use my name when you contact me, so I know that you're not just copying and pasting the same e-mail to every single person in the prefecture while trying to get a place to pass out after going clubbing.
Do not contact me if you are looking to stay in Central Tokyo, are only coming to Japan for "a few days", or for any reason EXCEPT wanting to stay on my island. Or if you want to just talk, that's fine too =)
If you try to contact me without following these very simple criteria, I will write a very short, rude response to you. If you do follow the criteria and seem alright, I'll definitely host you, and we'll have a hell of a good time. I promise, I'm an extremely nice, fun person in real life, but the sheer volume of misdirected e-mail that I get on this site is ridiculous.
Sorry for being unpleasant. =)
**************************************************
I'm a 187cm/6'2" tall, 23 year-old, gregarious and over the top white guy living on a volcano in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Japan. I'm pretty much the only foreigner out here, so I get entirely too excited when I see other non-Japanese people or when I get to speak English. I travel way more than I should. I love riding motorcycles, scuba diving, fixing computers, playing guitar, and writing.
