ABOUT ME

My wife and I met in the library at our college, down in Florida two and half years ago and hit it off from the very beginning. We have now been married just over a year and have loved every moment of it. We both have a deep passion to travel and experience different cultures. We have purchased one way tickets to Spain in April 2015 and plan to backpack through Europe for 4 months. We are enjoying spending quite a bit of time planning and looking up things to do. Our goal is to meet life long friends around the world that we can do life with!

PHILOSOPHY

We are followers of Jesus and live our lives to please Him and to serve those around us. We are able to live our lives to the fullest because of the blessing that the Lord has provided and we would like to share those blessings with those around us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love the original idea of couchsurfing of making travel more affordable for those on the road, giving people a real experience of the local culture and making new friends around the world. We don't like those just looking to hookup "hosting single females only" ect. or those just looking for a free place to stay. C.S. should really be to used to learn about the people of that area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had nothing but great experiences (even though all of our family/friends think we are absolutely crazy for having "strangers" in our home). Our first guest we spent the night sharing stories and swapping travel tips. And the first time we stayed as guests in New York City, our amazing host Andrew, took us out with his friends and showed up NYC in a way that we would have never experienced it on our own. Our goal is give other travelers that experience in Delaware.

Interests

From traveling to sitting at home with a nice bottle of wine, from skydiving to reading a good book, we enjoy just about everything in between!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We enjoying living life to the fullest, as of now, our highlight reel consists of: Scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef, walking the Great Wall of China, teaching at an orphanage in Bangladesh, cliff jumping before getting married in Jamaica, skydiving over Las Vegas and volunteering in India.

Devyn is certified in teaching English to speakers of other languages. She is excited to use this talent with anyone that wants to learn. We would like to learn about different cultures and how those around us live their lives.
