About Me

Curiosity is my middle name, I like to try a little bit of everything. I've been a musician (upright bassist) for about 7 years, bartender on and off, and recently began learning some of the circus arts with a focus on juggling. I love using my arts to bring a smile to people around me and believe that a lot of good can be done by combining my training and experience in social work with my love for all things circus and musical.

Current Mission ->

Improve my juggling and clowning so that I can travel around the world and bring a smile while doing it.

Philosophy ->
There's a lesson to be learned from every mistake, and always a silver lining even if sometimes you have trouble seeing it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To have the opportunity of meeting locals on a more intimate level while I travel. The word 'tourist' doesn't appeal to me, and while I suppose it still applies to a certain level I'd rather sleep on a floor and learn how to cook a local meal or learn a song than pay for a hotel where I don't have a worry in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most anything garage rock, country, bluegrass, rockabilly, jazz, klezmer and folk. Which isn't to say I'm not curious about your favourite band or song!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played with or met musicians that are my inspiration to do what I do now.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing my skills with others as it offers us both a chance to learn about one another. I try to take on the role of a teacher in my everyday life while also trying to never stop being a student.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking, don't mind a bit of hard work and while I'm not a big fan of cleaning I certainly don't mind offering my help for the kindness you show by letting a total stranger live in your private sanctuary.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, United States
