About Me

CURRENT MISSION
eat well; share stories and laughs; have empathy

ABOUT ME
I've couchsurfed and hosted a bit here and there when my living space is suitable. I enjoy meeting new people, sharing different perspectives, understanding their values and the coolest part is staying in touch. I don't subscribe to the "free airbnb" model; I think the uniqueness of couchsurfing is within the community - the trust and the vulnerability we share when we both open our homes to a stranger; and open our minds to a different city/country/home.

A bit about me... my background is engineering so I'd say I'm very logical/analytical but at the same time I have a creative/artistic side. I make candles as a side business; I also brew my own kombucha, enjoy meditating, yoga, muay thai, hiking, cooking... I am sure we can find something in common!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled in Europe when I studied abroad in Stockholm, Sweden. Slept on couches, in hostels and meeting people from all over the world. In my travel experiences, I've learned so much from the people I've met - new perspectives, good laughs, great memories. Couchsurfing is more than just a place to stay, it’s an opportunity to explore new perspectives and make friends all over the world.

Most recently I went to Peru and did a 4D/3N hike (Lares trail) near Cusco. I loved every minute of it. I couchsurfed in Lima and Cusco and met a lot of new friends that I'm still in contact with. While I was there I also participated in my host Dani's proposal party! That is the best part about traveling - not just seeing the sights but also experiencing the local lifestyle and meeting new people. I am now taking a Spanish class so I can keep practicing.

In 2018 I traveled to Hawaii and then stayed in Tulum, Mexico for a month where I helped out at a yoga studio/dive shop. Swam in a lot of cenotes, practiced yoga and meditation everyday.
