About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to host, but, it seems that I am the one travelling this time... Finally! I'm on my way to Hawaii for a brief "vacation" as my work responsibilities are keeping me at home for the next couple of years. I'm hoping to check out Maui and Hawai'i island for three short weeks before I return to my adventure at home (yes, work can be an adventure too!).

ABOUT ME

Well, my name is Tyrone and I was born in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, CANADA. I am very easy going and enjoy learning about the world, the people, and everything in between. I am a Musician/Artist, a student of life, and I love going on adventures! I love camping, hiking, and exploring new places! In fact, I love "humanity" so much I named my company Peoples Music Therapy Inc. Despite our sometimes greedy and selfish nature, I am constantly reminded of our unity through my travels and musicking.

Quick story!

Six years ago I ventured off with a Couchsurfing host after convincing him to join me to Africa!! We hitchhiked from Morocco, through Mauritania, all Senegal and The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, and the Bijagos Islands. Some places we needed to take a bus, a taxi, a moto, a piroque, and even swam from one country into another. Couchsurfing has been one of the most incredible interventions in my otherwise normal life...

HOW ARE YOU :D

PHILOSOPHY

Give unto the world, and the world will give unto you. I believe in honesty and balance. I believe one should have respect for others and nature. I believe that everybody has the ability to be a noble and descent person!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have CouchSurfed in 14 countries, mostly off the record. I love to cook and clean and share music with my hosts/surfers, I truly look forward to hosting surfers here at the JUNGLE COMMUNE (hmmm this is from 2016)! I have made so many international friends that I feel at home everywhere! And I feel so much more love when there are people sharing and creating all around me :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hitch Hiking across Canada (hmm, 2012)! I had the opportunity to meet and stay with so many good people who are now close friends of mine!

One Couchsurfing experience involved me staying at a host and now friends home in Spain, then, being invited to assist my host with his surgery in Germany for two weeks! Dont worry, he survived the surgery! XD then I met him in Japan. etc etc.

Most of my Couchsurfing experience exists off the record. More often I meet people throughout my day and ask if I can sleep at there home and have a great day!! haha!! Actually, 9 out of 10 times the answer is yes!

Interests

Most of my life has been dedicated to meeting people, collaborating with music, and going on journeys that allow me to see the World. I enjoy Folk music and spend much of my time researching and learning about new and old Artists. I was a student at Capilano University. I have also had a short career in the Culinary Industry and love food and drink, both cooking and indulging!

Music, Movies, and Books

Nothing specific. I enjoy all forms of literature and art. Recently in music I have been listening to the Anderson .Paak, Fleet Foxes. I have recently been reading Dune.

I have dedicated my reading attention to influential books on my current journey: Ive completed The Energy of Thought - Vladimir Merge, The Quran, and I am looking forward to studying Buddhism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm, brought a hungry person food. Probably the most amazing thing anyone can do.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me your culture please! I absolutely love to learn cooking, language, and music from all peoples of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a music teacher and love to pass on the gift of music! Share a memory with me!!! :D
