Hello! My name is Tyson and I live on the beautiful island paradise of Curaçao. I've been here for two years and absolutely love it. I joined couchsurfing because I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and showing people around this beautiful place. I am usually up for anything whether you just want to relax and drink beers on the beach or hike to the highest point on the island I am always up for an adventure.

A couple things about me...I have been a firefighter for nearly 7 years and have loved every minute of it. I am a firm believer in experiences over possessions and I try to live a minimalistic way of life as best as I can. I have a huge passion for travel and most of my days are spent planning my next adventure. I enjoy reading, snowboarding, hiking, camping, hockey, trail riding, soccer, golfing, wake surfing, and have even been known to do yoga from time to time as well.

Side note for all potential surfers I am usually only available to host for 2 days at a time as my job requires me to work 48 hour shifts followed by 48 hours off. There are some occassions where I may be available for more days but not normally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love to meet new people and experience new things. I have a passion for expanding my world view and becoming a global citizen. I enjoy being educated about different cultures and customs and everything else that comes with meeting new people as well.
