About Me

Just moved to Orange County from the Pacific Northwest. The west coast swing scene is too good down here and I had a bit of job freedom, so I took the chance. I've been loving it very much so.

Professionally, I'm a computer nerd, ever trying to become even more nerdy. I'm a web developer currently, but trying to get into a bit more of a software engineering type gig.

As far as traveling goes, I'm a wandering soul looking for adventure. I'm pretty respectful and easy going. I'm not big on partying, but I'll definitely share share a drink, if offered. I'm an ENFP personality type and a 7w6. Really, that just means that I get along with almost anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it could prove to be a good method for meeting new people and hopefully making friends. There are so many members and hosts all over the world. While I don't expect anything more than a place to sleep (or even a meet and greet), I'm always open to a friendship, good conversation, and who knows what else.

Music, Movies, and Books

Electronic Music for the most part. Whatever genre is Emancipator is some of my favorite. I'm really not picky, though. I'm a west coast swing/social ballroom dancer, so I listen to just about everything.

Books: The Moon is Made of Green Cheese by Sarah Comstock, House of Small Mammals by Thomas Pierce, Off to Be the Wizard by Scott Meyer, and anything by Ernest Cline or Tim Ferriss!

Movies: Last Samurai, Gangs of New York, Shawshank Redemption... I'm trying to think of those movies that I can't help, but sit down to watch whenever I catch a glimpse of them. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Won a dance competition. -- For someone as socially anxious as I used to be, this was a huge accomplishment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you dance, teach you about diet/exercise, or possibly help you learn about computing. My talents/skills are pretty random.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook decently well, clean and stay cleanly, but am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I can change light bulbs, reach things on the top shelf, and move heavy objects. I am pretty good at transporting bugs from inside to outside. I am a pet whisperer and know a thing or two about plumbing.
